Patna: Teachers and students of a reputed women college here today staged protest against blockage of college entrance path due to construction of a convention centre on the line of Delhi's “Vigyan bhawan”, but Chief Minister Nitish Kumar charged BJP with engineering protests by feeding wrong information.
Women teachers and students of Magadh Mahila college marched through streets of Patna as part of their agitation to gherao state Assembly to protest blockage of college entry path from front due construction of a convention centre near it.
Police used mild force in a bid to detain Patna University Students Union President Ashish Sinha who tried to mingle with the agitationists at R-block, police sources said.
The student leader is son of BJP MLA from Kumhrar here Arun Sinha Chief Minister Nitish Kumar criticised opposition BJP for “fomenting” agitation by feeding “disinformation” among college faculty and students.
