Thane: NCP MLA and state working President Jeetendra Ahwad received a death threat through a letter on Saturday at his Panchpakhadi office in Thane.
The letter has sent flutters down the political circles. A case has been registered at Naupada Police station in Thane. Police is investigating the matter and trying to find the letter writer.
Jeetendra, an MLA from Thane's Kalwa-Mumbra Constituency, received the inland letter at Panchpakhadi office on Saturday. The letter written in Marathi, said “After Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare, now it is your turn. Your result will be declared soon.”
The letter was quoted by ‘Nathuram Vichar Manch‘. It also said that we would like to tell you that Maharshtra is of Nathuram Godse's thoughts and this is our brotherhood.
The letter also said “It's not just a letter but a resolution.” Surprsingly the letter writer has also written ‘Humbly Yours' followed by Nathuram Vichar Manch (below) .
When contacted, Ahwad said that he had received such threats earlier also but he did not give importance to such issues.
A police official on promise of anonymity said “Ahwad has taken this matter very seriously and is also investigating the matter.”
