New Delhi: Narendra Modi, India's 15th Prime Minister, is famous for his enormous love for yoga.During 2014 Lok Sabha campaign, Narendra Modi travelled across the country tirelessly. He is supposed to have covered around 3 lakh kilometers during his campaign. When asked to reveal the secret behind his energy, Modi had pointed out that he keeps himself fit through the practice of yoga.India's best knowm yoga guru Swami Ramdev is a close friend of Narendra Modi and the bonding has been further strengthened by their love for yoga.Narendra Modi is so convinced of the benefits of yoga that as Chief Minister of Gujarat, he had asked his bureaucrats to attend yoga classes with him.Narendra Modi always tried to promote yoga in whatever way it was possible. As Gujarat CM, he had inaugurated India's first private yoga university,Lakulish yoga university, near Ahmedabad. "Earlier, people used to question the logic of yoga, saying at a time when advances have been made in the field of science how can anyone talk about yoga. Today, not just this country, but the entire world has accepted the power of yoga,'' Modi had said while inaugurating the university."I sleep very less. Yoga, Pranayama and deep breathing keep me energetic throughout the day!" said Modi"Doctors tell me I need to sleep for 5 hours but I sleep for maximum 3-4 hours yet, I get a very sound sleep," added Modi."I am equally energetic from morning till night. I guess the secret behind it is Yoga and Pranayama, which I do daily," said Modi."Whenever I feel tired, I just practice deep breathing and that refreshes me again!" added Modi.
