Dumka (Jharkhand): Targetting Congress and JD(U), Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that he'll not allow any 'Panja' (election symbol of Congress) or teer (election symbol of JD-U) to even hover around the treasury that truly belongs to the people of the country.
Addressing an election rally in Dumka of Jharkhand, Modi said, "I want to tell one thing from here, without your development, nation can't move forward.I am not sitting in Delhi as a Prime Minister. I am sitting there as a 'chowkidar'. No ‘panja' and no ‘teer' should hover around the treasury of government. I am working in the same direction."
"The treasury of government is empty but the father-son looted the state. Jharkhand has the capacity to provide employment to its people.In fact, it has enough capacity to provide jobs to people of other states., said Modi.

A total of 16 constituencies will go to polls on December 20. They are: Rajmahal, Borio (ST), Barhait (ST), Litipara (ST), Pakaur, Maheshpur (ST), Sikaripara (ST), Nala, Jamtara, Dumka (ST), Jama (ST), Jarmundi, Sarath, Poreyahat, Godda and Mahagama.
The first phase of the five-phased polling for 13 seats on November 25 had witnessed a record 61.92 per cent polling whereas the second phase in 20 constituencies across seven Maoist-hit districts too recorded a higher voting percentage of 65.72 percent on December 2. The third (17 seats) and fourth phase (15 seats) of polling witnessed 60.89per cent and 61 per cent voting respectively.
Counting of votes will be done December 23.
Jharkhand Assembly comprises 81 members.
