After Rajnath Singh, the former president of the BJP officially announced his resignation and welcomed Amit Shah to assume his position, Modi tweeted, “Amit Bhai started his journey as an ordinary Karyakarta (worker) and he has repeatedly proven himself through tireless hard work & determination”.
He added that the BJP would become more powerful under his leadership.
