"We will be watching the ceremony on TV," said 72 year old Somabhai Modi, the eldest brother of NaMo.
Narendra Modi's youngest brother Pankaj Modi, with whom Modi's mother Hiraba (92) stays in Gandhinagar, will also be watching the ceremony on TV.
"There is no formal word. Moreover, Hiraba's health will not permit her to travel to Delhi. We will be watching the event at home on TV," said Pankaj who works in the state information department.
"Who would not want to see his brother taking oath as PM? If Narendrabhai sends an invite, I will surely like to attend," said Prahlad Modi, another brother of NaMo.
Modi's sister Vasanti (60) and her husband Hasmukh, who stay in Visnagar, have booked their train tickets for Delhi.
"We have not received any formal invitation, but I had put a tilak on Narendrabhai's head when he took the CM's oath and I would like to do so now," says Vasanti.
It's not that only Modi's family is excited about Narendra Modi's swearing-in. There are many people in the country who are equally excited and they have very interesting stories to share about Modi, his victory and his swearing-in.
