Pokaran(Rajasthan): BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today claimed that Muslims have developed faster in Gujarat which gives a lie to popular perception about his government in Gujarat.

Addressing a public meeting here, Modi said, there are two districts in Gujarat with the largest muslim population and  both of them are the fastest growing districts of the state.

“The maximum muslim population of Gujarat is in Kutch district and the second largest population is in Bharuch district and both the districts have become the fastest growing districts of the state,”said Modi.

Prime ministerial candidate of India's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Narendra Modi slammed ruling congress for snatching the land of the poor and the deprived.

Describing Congress as a "party full of thieves", Modi said there was no one in the Congress from whom people can except justice since the party is  full of thieves.

“I want to ask the people of Jaisalmer, who has seized lakhs of acres of your land? Who took acres and acres of your land? And they (Sonia Gandhi) preach to the world. When the thief is at home, to whom do we complain to?” thundered  Modi.

Modi criticised the Congress for not producing the files related to the scams and declaring them as lost.

“It is a fashion for them, when we ask them in Rajasthan where are the land files, they say the files are lost and when we ask them in Delhi about the Coal files, they say that the  files are lost. Brothers and sisters, the truth is that not only the files, but the entire government is lost,” said Modi.

Rajasthan will go to the polls on Sunday (Dec 1).
