Kolkata, Jul 13: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tonight expressed shock at the three serials blasts in Mumbai that killed at least 21 people.
"I am shocked at the three serial blasts in Mumbai that killed many people and injured several others. I appeal to the people to maintain calm," Banerjee, who returned here after a two-day tour of Maoist-hit Junglemahal, said.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Police Commissioner R K Pachnanda tonight led a team of police officers and went around to the various parts of the city to conduct security checks as a precautionary measure. PTI
