Rampur (UP): Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav will celebrate his 75th birthday on November 21 in Rampur, the stronghold of his trusted lieutenant and senior Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan.
Elaborate arrangements are being made for the occasion which will also be attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Mulayam's son Akhilesh Yadav, Khan told reporters here yesterday.
“Netaji will cut a 75-feet cake on his 75th birthday,” Khan said. According to Khan's PRO, Mulayam will be taken to the venue of the function on a horse-drawn carriage being brought from London.
Besides the UP chief minister, Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi and several other dignitaries will attend the function at the Mohammad Ali Jauhar University here, the PRO said. The Samajwadi Party supremo will also lay the foundation of a medical college on the day.
