Azamgarh/Lucknow: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati have adopted Tamauli and Mall villages, respectively under ‘Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna'.
BSP supremo and Rajya Sabha MP Mayawati has adopted Mall village in Mall block in Malihabad parliamentary constituency, district magistrate Rajshekhar said.
Samajwadi supremo Mulayam has adopted Tamuli village in his parliamentary constituency Azamgarh.
Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana is a rural development and cleanliness programme launched by the Government of India focusing upon the development in the villages. The programme was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan on October 11 this year.
