Bhopal: Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh chief minister, has sent a Rs 10 crore defamation notice to Congress President Sonia Gandhi asking her to withdraw her party's ad campaign defaming him, his wife, and brother or face lawsuit.
BJP sources said today, the defamation notice has been sent to the Congress President and the Madhya Pradesh Congress president.
The notice asks the respondents to either issue fresh ads in newspapers withdrawing their charges and apologise publicly or face Chouhan and his relatives in court.
In the Congress ad campaign, it was alleged that Shivraj Singh Chouhan, his wife, brother and brother's wife were involved in shady deals involving corruption, which Chouhan has vehemently denied.
