New Delhi: Bringing an end to the Monsoon session, both houses of Parliament have been adjourned sine die.
Because of this adjournment, the Upper House could not pass the Goods and Services Tax Bill - considered to be the biggest tax reform since independence.
Sources said that the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) today decided to convene a 5-6 days special session of Parliament for passage of key legislations, especially the GST bill.
Meanwhile, NDA MPs will hold a protest march from Vijay Chowk to Parliament house today against disruption of two houses by the Congress party.
The whole Monsoon Session was washed out due to protests by the Congress-led Opposition on the Lalit Modi controversy and Vyapam scam.
