New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday wished Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel "good health and a long life" on her 73rd birthday.
"Warm birthday wishes to Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel. May Almighty bless her with good health and a long life," Modi posted on his personal twitter account.
Patel succeeded Modi and became Gujarat's first woman chief minister in May.
She was born in 1941 in north Gujarat's Kharod village.
She has been a member of the BJP since 1987. She was the Cabinet Minister of Road and Building, Revenue, Urban development and Urban Housing, Disaster Management and Capital Projects in the Government of Gujarat from 2007 to 2014.
