The noted lawyer blamed the Centre for dragging its feet in getting back the ill-gotten money stashed him offshore bank accounts.
"We are not a poor nation, we are a rich country. But our leaders are dacoits, thieves. Nearly $ 1500 billion Indian money stolen by these dacoits are stashed in offshore accounts. If the money is brought back to India and distributed, every family will get Rs 3 lakh", said Jethmalani.
"The German chancellor had offered to give details of people holding offshore money to all friendly countries, but the Indian government has not shown any eagerness on its part", he added.
Jethmalani also revealed details of his love life, and the reasons why defended men like smuggler Haji Mastan, Indira Gandhi's killer Balbir Singh, Jessica murder convict Manu Sharma and even Lalu Prasad.
