New Delhi: In another no-holds-barred attack on Narendra Modi, Congress yesterday accused the BJP's prime ministerial candidate of spreading poison with his politics.

"There is neither a wave, nor any effect. It is only poison, which is sought to be spread (Na lahar hai, Na asar hai, Ye sirf jahar hai)," party spokesperson Meem Afzal said when asked about ally NC leader Omar Abdullah's remarks that there is effect of Modi though not any wave.

He also took potshots at Modi over BJP seeking Prime Minister like security for him and said, "Now he wants to look like the Prime Minister without becoming one. Hence this demand for PM like security."

Afzal also attacked BJP saying the Opposition party always talks about the security of one individual Modi and not those, who come to attend his meeting.

"Did BJP or that leader of BJP utter a single word about the security of people, who attended his meetings," he asked.

To a question about Congress spokesperson Raj Babbar reportedly comparing Modi with 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab on the security front, Afzal said, "I have talked to Raj Babbar yesterday. He said that he did not make any comparison of Modi with Kasab but had only given an example."

Afzal also referred to the controversial "puppy" remark of Modi in an interview earlier to justify Babbar's remarks.

"Modi had once said that one feels pain even when a puppy comes under the wheels. He had later said that he was not making comparison but had given an example. Likewise Babbar has also given an example. I do not think he has said anything wrong," the Congress spokesperson said.
