New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi's famous bandhgala suit which has his complete name stitched in pinstripes, will be auctioned in Surat on Wednesday.
Modi wore the suit during US President Barack Obama's India visit in January. The auction of the suit will go on for three days. The proceeds of the auction will go to Namami Gange Trust Fund.
Modi has earlier faced criticism for wearing an expensive suit. While the PM's choice of dressing was highly appreciated by many stylists, some of his opponents criticized him for indulging in expensive dressing.As Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modi had held similar charity auctions of gifts.
