The LJP leader said, the younger generation was fed up of the secularism versus communalism debate, and wanted to focus on development, jobs and education.

"The younger generation wants development and that is why it is looking towards Modi who can deliver."

Asked whether he has seen Gujarat's development with his own eyes,  Paswan replied in the affirmative.

He said, "not only there has been development in Gujarat on a large scale, the law and order there is one of the best in the country. The police force there is well acquainted with the laws."

The LJP leader's son Chirag Paswan, who was also present in the show, said, he left his career in Bollywood, because he wanted to work for the betterment of the people of Bihar. Chirag Paswan will be contesting from Maoist-infested Jamui in Bihar.

Ramvilas Paswan said: "We could have given a safe seat like Gopalganj to Chirag, but we decided to give him a tough seat like Jamui."

Asked why he was promoting dynastic politics, Paswan said, "I always leave it to my son to decide what to choose. Joining politics was his decision. He never wanted to become chairman of our party parliamentary board. The party leaders themselves pressed for Chirag to be made as chairman.

Paswan added: "The worst father is one who thinks that his son should not become bigger than him".

AAP KI ADALAT with Ramvilas Paswan and Chirag Paswan will be telecast today (Saturday March 22) at 10 pm, and tomorrow (Sunday March 23) at 10 am and 10 pm on India TV.
