New Delhi: Two days after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal batted for “public trial” of media, his deputy Manish Sisodia today said the entire media needs to go for ‘vipassana'.

Sisodia's remarks came when he was asked by reporters about former DDC member Ashish Joshi's comment that “there is an urgent requirement of ‘vipassana' and ‘anapana' practice /training by one and all in Delhi Government.”

“The entire media needs vipassana,” said the Deputy Chief Minister, who today laid the foundation of Phase-2 of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology of Delhi.

Kejriwal had in a recent interview to a news portal said, “A very large section of the media has accepted ‘supari' for finishing off AAP... There can be a public trial. There can be 8-10 spots in Delhi where we can collect a group of people and show the erroneous clips. That way we can start a ‘janta ka trial'.”

Joshi was appointed as the member-secretary of the Delhi Dialogue Commission (DDC), an advisory body to AAP Government, but a few days later, he was asked to relinquish the charge.

Replying to a press release issued by the deputy director of Information and Publicity on April 13 last month, Joshi had said, “I had mentioned that it is required by all to inculcate core human values, decency and morality... In view of last few week's incidents and the way I was repatriated, I strongly feel that there is an urgent requirement of ‘vipassana' and ‘anapana' practice/training by one and all in Delhi Government.”

Taking a dig at the AAP government, Joshi, who was repatriated to the central government last month, also said, “I was repatriated in violation of Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT), GOI orders of 2010.”

“I, therefore, also want to request you (deputy director) to use your good offices to arrange copies of Constitution of India, Transaction of Business rules 1993 etc to all concerned, so that no rules are violated in future,” Joshi said.

Joshi had also taken a jibe at the Arvind Kejriwal-led government by replying to the press release, saying “Good initiative. Vipassana and Anapana practice/training is required by all to inculcate core human values, decency and morality.”
