New Delhi: Union Minister Maneka Gandhi will launch Bal Swachhata Abhiyan in the national capital at the Maidangarhi anganwadi today, on Nehru's 125th birthday.

 
According to a government official, Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi will launch the campaign as part of the government's nationwide mission.
 
This campaign will continue till former Prime minister Indira Gandhi's birth anniversary, i.e., on November 19.
 
The official said the Directorate of Education has directed all heads of government and government-aided schools and unaided private schools to launch the mission and sensitise children on different aspects of hygiene, including clean schools, surroundings, play area, drinking water, toilets and food and personal hygiene.
 
Today, during the morning assembly of schools, the students will take a resolve that they will not use polythene bags, will not waste any paper and use the dustbins placed in the school, the official said.
 
Today's theme is 'clean school', the official said.
