Kolkata: The Trinamool Congress has decided to challenge Calcutta High Court's orders wherein the BJP has been permitted to hold rally in Kolkata slated for tomorrow.

When BJP President Amit Shah was denied permission to hold rally outside Victoria Hall, in the heart of the city, the BJP approached the Calcatta High Court and sought its intervention. The HC bench headed by a single judge granted permission for the rally, appointing two officers to ensure compliance.

The Court asked the Kolkata Municipal Corporation and the Fire Department to work out rules for the rally.

The BJP welcomed Calcutta High Court's decision and accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of acting out of vendatta and frustration.

The Mamata Banerjee led government has decided to challenge the HC's orders.
