Shimla: Senior BJP leader LK Advani is likely to be the guest of honour at the International Yoga Day function in Palampur being organised by 'Kaya Kalp', headed by former BJP chief minister Shanta Kumar.
Kumar also said Swami Subodhanand of Chinmaya Trust would be the chief guest at the function which will take place at Agriculture University auditorium on June 21.
The function would focus on the importance of Yoga and its impact on physical and mental fitness, he said.
Hundreds of thousands of health enthusiasts from 193 countries will perform various 'asanas' (yogic postures) at different places across the globe with some 35,000 to 40,000 people who would lead the celebrations from Rajpath in the heart of the Indian capital to mark the first International Yoga Day on June 21.
