Patna, Jan 18: LJP will contest on all 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, party chief Ramvilas Paswan said today.
He rejected the perception that its candidates will not be ‘votekatwas' (a candidates who gets bare minimum votes to spoil fortunes of other parties).
LJP has put in deep thoughts over the past two years in selection of candidates on all 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh and these candidates will not be votekatwas, but perform creditably, he told reporters here.
Paswan claimed that his party has grassroots support in other poll-bound states like Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Punjab where it will put up candidates on all seats.
He said that LJP enjoyed support among the students and lashed out at the state government for not conducting students election in the colleges and universities for past two decades to create a pool of youth leaders.
He demanded registration of cases on murder charges against those cops involved in the alleged custodial death and said that he will visit Nawada district on January 24 next to find out the facts of the matter.
