1:25 pm: Over to Jagdalpur. Narendra Modi telling rally "the countdown for Congress has begun". If you had elected Congress here, the Congress government at the centre would not have left a single coal in Chhattisgarh.

1:26 pm: Vajpayee created three states peacefully- Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh. Both Jharkhand and Uttarakhand are going backwards, whereas Chhatisgarh alone has developed. What was the reason? asks Modi rhetorically.

1:30 pm: Times have changed. Now you have to vote for development. Earlier, you voted for castes, clans, communities. Only Dr Raman Singh and BJP can lead you to development, Modi tells voters. There must be no stop to development in Chhatisgarh. 

1:31 pm
: Chhhattisgarh is now 13 years old. Like boys and girls, who grow suddenly in height and weight from the age of 13 till 18, Chhattisgarh has to decide about how to grow rapidly for the next 5 years, Modi tells voters.

1.40 pm: Modi compares Maoist attack on Congress leaders with Patna serial blasts. Let the political pundits in Delhi compare the behaviour of CM Raman Singh after Maoist attack with CM Nitish Kumar after Patna serial blasts. Modi says, while Raman Singh went to the homes of each Congress leader killed in Maoist attack, after the Patna serial blasts, in which the terrorists had targeted to blow up the dais to kill all BJP leaders, CM Nitish Kumar did not have an iota of remorse on his face. He attended his party's conclave in Rajgir, where sumptuous dishes were served, and indulged in pure politics. Let the whole of India compare the behaviour of these two chief ministers, said Modi.

1:50 pm: Modi shouted slogan Jai Juhar in Chhatisgarhi dialect, and ends speech.


3:26 pm: Modi tells voters Congress did not fulfil its promise of lowering inflation within 100 days, and giving jobs to 1 crore people.

He says, if black money hoarded abroad is brought back, each poor Indian will get Rs 15-20 lakhs.

3:28: Modi hits out at "Madam" (Sonia Gandhi) for saying Congress does not speak, but performs.

Yes they do not speak, but perform well  in corruption, says Modi rhetorically.

3.40 pm: Their shahzada (Rahul) says poverty is a state of mind. Ask the poor man who sleeps hungry at night, ask the mother who keeps her child hungry at night. They are making a mockery of poverty. Those who have not suffered poverty will never know what poverty is. They are only rubbing salt into the wounds of poor, Modi rhetorically tells voters as they lap it all up. 

3:42 pm:
Tell me, can a run a family of five for Rs 28 a day? The government in Delhi says, if you earn Rs 28 a day, you are no more poor. One of their leaders said, he gets stomachful of meal for Rs 5 in Mumbai. Do you get tea for Rs 5, forget a meal?, asks Modi.

3:48 pm:
Narendra Modi finishes his speech with Bharat mata ki jai.
