12:31 pm: Big bins have been kept at rally venue for people to donate money for "One Note, One Vote" scheme. Loudspeakers blare out music extolling Modi and the party

12:30 pm: BJP workers wearing saffron caps, holding party flags come in processions to rally venue.  Police do body search before allowing them to enter through metal detectors. Several party workers strum musical instruments.

7:20 am:
BJP will launch "one note, one vote for Lotus" campaign from today. Donations will be collected from each person attending the rally. This will be the beginning of a nationwide campaign, say BJP leaders. We expect 10 crore families to participate in this, the leaders claim.

7:10 am: Traffic in Bhubneswar from Rasulgarh till Barmunda square is expected to be disrupted before and after the rally, says traffic police.

7 am: BJP rally organisers expect nearly three lakh people to attend the gathering to hear Modi.
