Bangalore: BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is all set to flatter the IT city of India, Banagalore today. With BJP losing its hold in the South, the party has its eyes on its prime ministerial candidate to shore up the party's fortunes, at least in Karnataka.
Heavy security arrangements have been made at Palace Grounds for the rally.
Senior officers along with 4000 policemen have been deployed near the venue. .
Media reports said, BJP has spent nearly Rs. 20 crores on this rally. BJP leaders claimed nearly 3 lakh people have collected tickets costing Rs 10 each for the rally . The amount will donated for Modi's dream project in Gujarat, the statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel facing the Arabian Sea.
BS Yeddyurappa's departure from the party costed BJP heavily in last Karnataka assembly polls. Now, the party is trying to regain its vote bank in the southern region of the country with his star campaigner Narendra Modi.
