LIVE: Take suo motu action against Sonia Gandhi for her communal appeal, Modi tells EC at Vaishali rally

Vaishali(Ghaziabad): Gujarat Chief minister and BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi today said that it's time for EC to take suo motu action against Congress president Sonia Gandhi even after she made a rank communal appeal

Modi accused Congress of once again making false promises to the electorate.

“Do you want to live the same life that your patents lived? Do you want to face the same problems that your parents faced? Don't you think the youth of this country should be provided with jobs? In 2009, they had said that they will provide jobs to 10 crore people. Once again they have made promises for providing 10 crore jobs. Can you believe them? Has anybody got jobs in last 10 years?” asked Modi.

“Earlier they used to throw dust into eyes of people. Now they are spraying pepper in the eyes. It's India only that forms commissions for skill development. Those who are not concerned about the nation can't be entrusted with running govt,” added Modi.

Attacking the union government's thrust on mutton export, Modi said that the govt is now encouraging slaughter of livestock.

“The present govt wants to bring in pink revolution which is related to pink flesh of animals. They want to encourage animal slaughter. They have given subsidy to those slaughtering animals because of their focus on pink revolution.  In the name of pink revolution our villages are getting ruined, farmers are getting ruined. People enjoy non-vegetarian food but due to Pink Revolution & export policies, people in India get meat at higher rates,” said Modi.
