Vadodara: Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today filed his nomination papers from Vadodara Lok Sabha seat.
Modi reached Vadodara airport at around 10:05 am. He started a road show from 'Kirti stambha' and reached Vadodara collectorate at around 11:20am.
Modi filed his nomination papers in presence of senior leaders of state BJP. One Chaiwallah was among the proposers for Modi's nomination.
After filing his nomination papers, Modi said that Vadodara is my 'Karmabhoomi' and that he is lucky to work for the people of central Gujarat. He thanked the people of Vadodara for the love and affection extended to him.
“On 9th I will file my nomination papers for Vadodara Lok Sabha seat. Going to meet Atal ji at his residence to seek his blessings,” Modi tweeted while confirming the news.
Today is the last day of filing of nomination papers in the state that will undergo single-phase polls on April 30 to elect MPs from 26 Lok Sabha constituencies.
