Earlier in the day, Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi said that in next 100 days , the govt in Delhi will change and with this the ‘zeher ki kheti' will come to a stop.
Modi was addressing a rally in Kochi of Kerala.
This meeting was organised by Kerala Pulaya Maha Sabha, an outfit of one of Kerala's leading scheduled caste communities. The rally was organised to mark the centenary of "Kayal samaran", a protest by Dalits against denial or right to organise themselves.
“Those doing votebank politics are expert in doing 'zeher ki kheti'. Ranganath Mishra commission is an example of this Zeher Ki Kheti. Ranganath Commission wants to take back our rights,” said Modi.
Modi said that he belonged to a poor family and that his mother used to wash utensils and he himself sold teas.
Tracing his roots to the marginalized sections of the society , Modi said,”Dalits and backward castes are my family, I was born and brought up among them.”
