Srinagar (Uttarakhand): Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today attacked the Congress led UPA govt and said that due to their wrong policies, India was running in reverse gear.

Addressing an election rally in Srinagar of Uttarakhand, Modi said, “The vehicle of India is running in reverse gear. We need to focus on tourism. Development is the panacea for all the ills.”

“You have elected rulers for 60 years. Please elect a servant this time for 60 months. I'll work as a chowkidar. This mother-son duo is trying to mislead you. They will first come with folded hands but very soon they start playing tricks,” added Modi.

Modi further said that these elections are a direct fight between a ‘Naamdar ‘and a ‘Kaamdar'.

“In these elections, the mother-son duo is one side while on the other side there is a ‘chaiwallah'. On one side there is a ‘naamdar' while on the other side there is someone like me who is a ‘kaamdar'. On one side there are people who were born with silver spoons while on the other hand there is someone like me who has reached this stage after selling tea,” added Modi.
