New Delhi: AAP leader Kumar Vishwas might have lost his deposit from Amethi Lok Sabha constituency but his commercial fortunes have gone up exponentially in recent times.If media reports are to be believed the production company Endemol has given an offer of Rs 5 Crore to Kumar Vishwas for participating in reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss'. Kumar Vishwas has confirmed that he has got an offer from for participating in ‘Bigg Boss' although he refused to share more details on the offer. The production company ‘Endemol India', however, has refused to reveal the exact details of the offer. Kumar Vishwas is also getting numerous offers for delivering motivational leadership lectures. Kumar will be delivering a lecture to Google employees at its headquarters in Silicon Valley this month. “Yes, I will be going to Stanford University to lecture on the topic `Changing mood of Asian political upbringings' and to the Google headquarters to talk about leadership on July 29,“ Vishwas told a leading newspaper.Kumar is also expected to deliver a lecture on politics at the Stanford University in California.He is getting exciting offers from Bollywood as well. He is all set to make his debut in Bollywood by penning a song that will be sung by the legendary Asha Bhosle. After his foray into electoral politics, commercial stakes of Kumar Vishwas have gone sky high. Being a renowned poet, Kuamr Vishwas does shows both within and outside India. He is now charging much more for his shows compared to his pre-Amethi days. When Kumar Vishwas decided to challenge Rahul Gandhi in his fiefdom of Amethi, many people advised Kumar to reconsider his decision because a new entrant like him had no chance of beating Rahul in his family pocket borough of Amethi.But a determined Kumar ignored all such opinions and campaigned in Amethi with full vigor and enthusiasm. It became a three-cornered contest in Amethi with the sitting MP Rahul Gandhi being challenged by Smriti Irani of BJP and Kumar Vishwas of AAP. Kumar had announced his candidature much before the party actually released the candidate list. It led to some controversy as well because some people questioned as to how Kumar himself can take a decision on who will contest from Amethi.The entry of Smriti Irani made the contest even more interesting. Smriti had the advantage of being a household name since her Saas Bahu serial days and the last minute campaign by BJP's prime ministerial candidate did wonders for her electoral prospects.But in the end, the political pundits who had predicted an easy victory for Rahul despite the hi-decibel campaigns of Smriti Irani and Kumar Vishwas proved right. Rahul Gandhi emerged victorious relegating Smriti Irani to second position. Kumar Vishwas, however, lost his deposit in the process. Narendra Modi's last minute rally in favour of Smriti pushed Kumar out of the contest.After election results were declared, Kumar Vishwas was dejected to find himself losing even the deposit. The election results were disappointing for Aam aadmi Party as a whole. The party lost all 7 seats in the state capital Delhi. The only consolation came from Punjab where the party won 4 seats. So, has the Amethi battle helped Kumar Vishwas in consolidating his brand? It seems so if the offers coming to the doors of Kumar Vishwas are any indication. Kumar might have lost elections as well as his deposit but the world now looks at him as someone who showed the courage to throw a challenge at the scion of Gandhi family. Kumar Vishwas has no qualms in attributing his new-found popularity to his face-off with Gandhi. “It's a fact that certain sections which did not take me seriously were forced to sit up and notice when I decided to contest against Rahul Gandhi. My campaign in Amethi was covered by international media and voters had started asking Rahul some uncomfortable questions,“ says Kumar. He can be termed as the founder member of Aam aadmi Party (AAP).Born to Dr. Chandra Pal Sharma, lecturer in R.S.S. Degree College and Smt. Rama Sharma , Kumar is the youngest among four brothers and a sister. He did Post Graduation and Ph.D in Hindi Literature.A professor by profession, Dr Vishwas is also involved in writing Scripts, Lyrics and Stories for Indian Film Industry.Kumar has written numerous patriotic and romantic poems in his career. His poems ‘Koi Deewana Kehta Hai' and ‘Hotho Par Ganga Ho, Hatho me Tiranga Ho' have been widely appreciated by the audience.Kumar Vishwas is a childhood friend of another senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia.Kumar Vishwas and Manish Sisodia used to play together in Ghaziabad where they spent their childhood. It was Sisodia who introduced him to Arvind Kejriwal in 2006. Vishwas used to write articles for Sisodia's magazine ‘Apna-Panna' and Kejriwal was already in touch with Sisodia by that time.Friendship with Sisodia and Kejriwal encouraged Kumar to join ‘India Against Corruption (IAC)' movement and one thing followed another.Kumar Vishwas joined Anna's Janlokpal movement alongwith Arvind and Manish.When Arvind Kejriwall parted ways with Anna Hazare and floated a new political party Aam aadmi Party (AAP), Kumar Vishwas sided with Arvind and became a member of AAP.Contesting elections from Amethi was a big and tough decision for Kumar Vishwas but he showed the courage and today he is not repenting his decision.
