When Kumar Vishwas decided to challenge Rahul Gandhi in his fiefdom of Amethi, many people advised Kumar to reconsider his decision because a new entrant like him had no chance of beating Rahul in his family pocket borough of Amethi.
But a determined Kumar ignored all such opinions and campaigned in Amethi with full vigor and enthusiasm. It became a three-cornered contest in Amethi with the sitting MP Rahul Gandhi being challenged by Smriti Irani of BJP and Kumar Vishwas of AAP.
