Patna, Sep 5: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today took a jibe at his arch rival RJD chief Lalu Prasad saying Prasad who was caught napping in the Lok Sabha, had woken up three months after the police firing in Forbesganj and undertaken a march there.
“Wherever and whenever Lalu wants to sleep he can sleep but in Parliament”, Kumar told reporters.
Referring to Prasad's recent Forbesganj March to meet the bereaved families of those who were killed in June 3 police firing, Kumar dared Prasad to tour the state and find out the shortcomings on the part of the government.
The chief minister said being an Opposition leader, it was his (Lalu's) duty to discharge the responsibilities of opposing the government and highlighting the shortcomings.
“But the Opposition should pick up only such issue which has truth and a strength. The judicial probe ordered by the state government into the Forbesganj firing is being criticised but we decided to order a judicial probe on the basis of the recommendations of the state Home Secretary”, the Chief Minister said.
