Patna: Asserting that RJD supremo Lalu Prasad's graph was "gradually on decline," Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday claimed defeat of his arch rival looked "certain" as the thought of Lalu Prasad's return to power "still sends shivers down people's spine."
"Lalu ke satta mein lautane ki mamuli soch bhi logons ke man men bhay paida karti deti hai... siharan hone lagta hai (mere thought of Lalu returning to power creates fear in people's minds... it still sends shivers down people's spine," Kumar told reporters while ridiculing Lalu's claim of returning to power. He claimed people would never vote for return of Lalu's rule, which had been characterised by "jungle raj, anarchy, chaos and corruption" during long 15 years.
"Logong ko Lagta hai ki Lalu ji ke lautane par woh pichhale paanch saal tak satta men nahin rahne ka sud chakrabridhi byaj ke saath wasool lenge (People harbour the feeling that in the event of return of RJD-LJP alliance, Lalu ji will try first to realise the interests of his being away from power with compound interests)," Kumar said.
"Therefore, Lalu Prasad has to content with like becoming a mock CM after becoming mock PM in parliament," the Chief Minister sarcastically remarked. Stating that Lalu Prasad's political graph was "declining gradually," he said "in fact Lalu ji has lost his credibilities among the masses." "I don't know whether Lalu will have to face further demotion in future," Kumar said. more PTI
