Rajiv Pratap Rudy- MoS (Independent charge)
Rajiv Pratap Rudy is a go-getter, a pilot by profession. Age 52, he is the BJP MP from Saran, Bihar, the man who defeated Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi by a slender margin of 4,000 votes.
Born in Chapra, Rudy was a lecturer before he joined BJP. He was first elected MLA in Bihar in 1990. He was later elected to Lok Sabha in 1996, and re-elected in 1999. He worked as MoS Commerce and Industry and later made Civil Aviation Minister with independent charge in Vajpayee govt.
He was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2010. Rudy is BJP general secretary and is incharge of states like Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
