Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatta today hailed the maiden budget, presented by his Finance Minister, Capt Abhimanyu, as “visionary” and one that will usher a new era of balanced development and put the state on a high-growth trajectory.
Reacting to the budget of his government for 2015-16, Khattar said that higher allocations to most key sectors without raising any new taxes are reflective of the government's resolve to implement the promises made to the people in BJP's manifesto.
He expressed confidence that the “plethora of measures announced in the budget will surely rev up the halting engines of state's growth, attract greater investments, and generate jobs for the youth.”
Khattar said that by giving thrust to social sector, capital expenditure and development of infrastructure even as it lends priority to skill development of the youth and putting an end to the disparities among social groups and regions, the budget comes true to the aspirations of the people of the state.
“I am happy that driven by Prime Minister Narendera Modi's motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, the Finance Minister has laid stress on providing equal opportunity to all sections of society to grow and prosper without any discrimination against any caste, creed, region or religion,” the chief minister said in a statement here.
