New Delhi: Delhi's Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal, whose Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) decimated the rivals in the recently concluded Assembly polls, will today meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at latter's residence at 10:30 am.
Kejriwal will also formally extend an invitation to Modi for the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on February 14.
"We had sought time from the Prime Minister, Kejriwal will be meeting him tomorrow (Thursday) at 10.30 am. He will also extend an invitation to him for the oath ceremony on February 14," party sources said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Kejriwal had met Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Venkaiah Naidu. The leader had sought cooperation from the Centre in sorting out several issues including full statehood for Delhi.

The AAP leader also met the President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. After meeting the President, AAP senior leader Manish Sisodiya told media that it was a courtesy call and no important agenda was discussed. He further added that the President gifted them two books – Constitution of India and Thoughts and Reflections.

Meanwhile, close aide of Anna Hazare, Dadda Awari, said that the social-activist will not attend the swearing-in ceremony of his former protégé despite Delhi's chief minister-elect personally extending an invitation to him.
“Kejriwal called Anna and requested him to attend the swearing-in but he expressed his inability...Anna extended his best wishes to Kejriwal for running a good government,” Awari said.
Kejriwal-led AAP decimated the BJP and the Congress by recorded a landslide victory, securing 67 of the 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections. The BJP managed to bag only 3 seats.
