New Delhi: Aam AAdmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, After registering a landslide victory in Delhi Assembly elections, met Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung today and conveyed he has been elected as the leader of AAP legislature Party.
According to a L.G House press release, The Lt. Governor will now send his report, with his recommendation, to the Hon'ble President of India.
In a fiercely fought election, AAP secured 67 seats in a 70 member Assembly for which elections were held on 7th February and results were declared today.
While BJP bagged just three seats, the Congress, which ruled the National Capital Territory for 15 years, failed to win even a single seat.
