New Delhi: Amid the ongoing tussle of power between Delhi government and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been denied a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi twice.

Kejriwal sought time for a meeting with PM on June 18 which was denied on the basis of Modi's ‘busy schedule'. Again on June 29, Kejriwal's request was turned down and he was asked to schedule a meeting either with Home Minister Rajnath Singh or Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Earlier on June 19, a scheduled meeting between Kejriwal and BJP patriarch Lal Krishna Advani was cancelled at the last moment.

Both Centre and Delhi government have been at the loggerheads over the powers of LG and who controls the appointments in Delhi.

Time and again, Kejriwal has accused Modi of ruling Delhi through proxy.
