New Delhi: The ongoing tussle between BJP led Centre and AAP led Delhi govt is unlikely to end soon.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia today accused the officers from the NCT of Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands of behaving like the BJP's ‘B team' and said that the strike by the IAS officers is a deliberate attempt to derail the Odd-Even scheme.

Delhi government alleged a conspiracy between centre and lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung behind senior bureaucrats' decision to skip work after it suspended two of their colleagues.

In a series of tweets, Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of settling political scores by using LG Najeeb Jung and the officers who have went on mass leave.

He also said that people will be happy if these officers went on long leave.

Yashpal Garg and Subhash Chandra, two senior civil service officers of the Home Department were suspended on Wednesday for their refusal to sign a file pertaining to a Cabinet decision by the Delhi government on increasing the salary of public prosecutors.

Resultantly, over 200 state government bureaucrats have gone on mass leave to protest against the suspension.

Subsequently, the Union Home Ministry today declared the suspension orders of two DANICS-cadre officers by the Delhi government as null and void.

While around 200 DANICS-cadre officers went on a day-long mass-leave, over 70 IAS officials struck work from 9 AM to 2 PM, expressing protesting AAP government's action against Yashpal Garg and Subhash Chandra, both Special Secretaries.

A defiant Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sent out a stern warning to agitating officers saying government was exploring "all options" against those who are on leave today. He said government will not tolerate corruption and insubordination.

The threat of mass leave stands to threaten the implementation of the odd-even formula, as a number of the officers in question are involved in the January 1 implementation of the road-rationing plan.

The issues also risks escalating into another confrontation between the Centre and the Delhi government.
