Bandipora: Ahead of the Assembly elections, Congress President Sonia Gandhi will hold public rallies in Jammu and Kashmir today to kick off the party's campaign for the first phase of elections that is to be held on November 25.
Sonia will address public rallies in Bandipora and Ramban districts in support of her party candidates.
According to Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, Prof Saif-uddin-Soz, Gandhi is scheduled to arrive in Bandipora at 10 am and would address another rally in Ramban later on in the day.
Congress and veteran leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad face a acid test in the region as the party had won 6 out of 15 seats in 2008 Assembly elections.
