Chennai: DMK supremo M Karunanidhi today expelled his rebel son M K Alagiri from the party for "anti-party activities."
He made the announcement at his party office here. Alagiri had publicly alleged that his brother M K Stalin was conspiring against him and the DMK chief was surrounded by "evil forces".
The DMK has issued warnings to its cadres to stay away from Alagiri.

Alagiri is yet to announce for whom he would campaign. He has a good base in Madurai and southern districts of tamil Nadu.
Earlier, when he was suspended, DMK MPs like D. Napoleon, Ramalingam and Ritheesh had extended support to Alagiri.
