Belgaum, Karnataka, Mar 18: C. C. Patil, former Karnataka minister and BJP MLA suffered bullet injury on Sunday night, when his gunner fired in the air to disperse two group of BJP workers.
According to sources, the MLA has been hospitalized. He had gone to his constituency, when the two groups came requesting him to visit their area first.
As the two groups began to quarrel among themselves, the ex-minister's gunner fired in the air to control the crowd, but the bullet hit Patil.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery.
