Bangalore,Jul 8: The meeting of the BJP legislature party to elect Jagadish Shettar formally as its leader will be held on July 10, party sources said here today.
Senior party leaders Arun Jaitley and Rajnath Singh, appointed as observers for the election of the new leader, were expected to arrive here tomorrow, they said.
Shettar, whom BJP has named as successor to Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, was likely to be sworn-in on July 11, the sources said.
