Shimla: Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh, who has been given additional charge of Himachal Pradesh, will take the oath of office on January 28. Urmila Singh would demit office on January 27 after presiding over the state-level Republic Day function on January 26, Raj Bhawan sources said.
She will complete five years in office on January 24. She had assumed the charge of Governor on January 25, 2010. Urmila will be the third Governor of the state to complete the term of five years.
Yesterday, as per the statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhawan, the Rajasthan Governor had been given additional charge of Himachal Pradesh till further orders.
