Vijayawada, May 13: TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu today alleged that both the ruling Congress and YSR Congress “back-stabbed the democracy” by distributing crore of rupees among voters for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat. He was speaking after a meeting with farmers at Hanuman Junction in Krishna district.
When asked about the Kadapa and Pulivendula constituency elections, Naidu said, “Money and muscle power played big roles in the election campaign at Kadapa and democracy became fool in the hands of these two parties.”
The TDP leader said, “People are now losing confidence in the Congress party. This fact was proved in Tamil Nadu, where the Congress-DMK alliance lost. People of Tamil Nadu voted against corrupt government and therefore, the party should learn a lesson from that Tamil Nadu result.” PTI
