Jammu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today fly to poll-bound Jammu and Kashmir where he will be holding an election rally in Kishtwar.
As per the schedule, the Prime Minister will arrive here at 12 noon.
Kishtwar will go to polls in the first phase of five-phase polling commencing November 25.
The party has given ticket to Sunil Sharma from here. The main fight from here will be between the ruling National Conference candidate, Sajad Kitchloo, and Sharma.
Kishtwar is one of the 12 constituencies in the Jammu region where Muslim population is slightly higher than Hindus.
Kishtwar, located 226 km from Jammu, is the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
The saffron party is contesting all the 87 assembly seats in the state without forging alliances with any political party.
The remaining four phase polling will be held on December 2, 9, 14 and 20. Counting of votes will take place on December 23.
Party sources said that Modi will be holding election rallies in Srinagar and Udhampur regions on November 27 and 30 respectively.
