Jammu: A "core team" of nearly 150 members including IT professionals, party workers belonging to different wings of BJP and election strategists has begun its ground work for all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir - Jammu, Kashmir valley and Ladakh.

This very team, party sources said, played a key role in BJP's victory in the Maharashtra and Haryana assembly polls.

Polling begins in Jammu and Kashmir from November 25.

The core team members have started their ground work in Kashmir, Ladakh, Rajouri, Poonch, Jammu and Chenab valley areas, a party leader told the newspaper Greater Kashmir.

These core team members will focus on each constituency based on voters' profiles and demography.

The team members will stay in their respective areas till the end of assembly polls in all five phases.

The core team members will gather information on each seat, especially where the BJP is weak. They will provide feedback relating to local issues and other equations that may affect the overall results in that constituency.

BJP state general secretary Bali Bhagat said, the team has arrived in Jammu on the directions of party chief Amit Shah. The team members will report directly to the party high command.
