Patna: Displaying bonhomie, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and Union Minister Uma Bharati today mutually praised each other.
“Manjhi, who hails from a poor family, understands the pain of poor and he is a garibo ka messiah (poor peoples' apostle) in true sense,” Bharati said after a meeting on flood problem in Bihar.
On her response to problems of flood in Bihar from the rivers of Nepal and Madhya Pradesh, Manjhi said he was immensely impressed and satisfied with the approach of the minister towards the problem.
“Wo do kadam age badkar boli pahle kiu nahi hua iska nidan (She went two steps ahead of me and said why it was not solved earlier),” Manjhi said expressing his gratitude towards the union minister.
Bharati said there was clear cut instruction from the Prime Minister that politics should not come in the way of development.
“PM has said to talk about politics only six months before election and concentrate on development in partnership with the state in the remaining period,” she said.
