New Delhi: Today is the last date for filing nomination papers for the third phase of Assembly elections in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
A total of 17 seats in 82-member House in Jharkhand and 16 seats in 87-member House in Jammu and Kashmir will go to polls on 9th of next month.
As per the Election Commission schedule, scrutiny of papers for this phase will take place tomorrow and the last date for withdrawal is Monday.
The seats going for the third phase polling in Jharkhand on December 9 are Kodarma, Barkatha, Barhi, Barkagaon, Ramgarh, Mandu, Hazaribagh, Simaria (SC), Dhanwar, Gomia, Bermo, Ichagarh, Silli, Khijri (ST), Ranchi, Hatia and Kanke (SC).
The 16 seats in Jammu and Kashmir going for the third phase polling are spread over Baramulla, Budgam and Pulwama districts in Kashmir.
The five-phase polling in the two states will begin on November 25 and ending December 20. Counting for all phases will be held on December 23.
