Palamu: Jharkhand's Health Minister Ramchandra Chandrawanshi publicly thrashed Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) leader Shambhunath Chandrawanshi in Palamu district yesterday.
The incident took place when Ramchandra had gone to attend an event of Chandrawanshi caste. Shambhunath, a political rival of the ruling BJP, is the current president of a body, which organised the function.
According to reports, the two leaders had an argument over appointment of minister's son as the next head of the caste body.
The minister also got his body guards to thrash the RJD leader in public view. The incident was caught on camera.
Ramchandra, 68, represents Bishrampur constituency in the state Assembly.
